My name is Desislava Naneva, I’ve been living in England since 2012 and I’m a mother to two beautiful daughters.
For ten years, I have been working as a bookkeeper in an office, which contributed to my poor posture, neck and back pain, and, as a result of stress, thyroid issues combined with insulin resistance and weight gain.
There came a moment when I realized that my job was making me sick and that it wasn’t the balance I needed, but a change.
The day I discovered yoga was the beginning of that change, my spiritual growth.
After years of reading, learning, growing, practicing, clearing blockages, and meditating, I am now ready to stand in front of you and share what I’ve learned. I turned my passion for movement into a profession, and I am ready to dedicate myself to it with all my soul and heart, and I truly feel that this is my mission in life!
I am a Level 3 Certified Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor, a certified Yoga Teacher (CYT200), and a member of GOYA – Global Online Yoga Association. I’ve also completed teaching courses in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, Children’s Yoga, Yogalates and Yoga Therapy.
And, I am also trained in Scoliosis Physiotherapy treatment.
I create meditations and am a certified guided meditation teacher. I have also taken courses in cold water therapy and chakra healing, and I’m a fully qualified Reiki practitioner at the master level.
In my small studio in Romford, which I created with a lot of love and passion, I lead small group classes and individual sessions because I believe that the attention and care given to each person is important, as well as the restoration of the inner balance between the body and mind.
My aim and mission is to get as many people as possible to try Pilates. That’s why I will try to keep the prices as low as possible. I truly believe that Pilates is healing.
As Joseph Pilates said: “Change happens through movement and movement heals.
You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions.”
Looking forward to seeing you in the studio!
Because health is wealth!
Reformer Pilates is a form that uses a specialized machine called the Reformer to enhance strength, flexibility, and alignment. The Reformer has a sliding carriage with adjustable springs that provide resistance, and it can be used in various ways to perform a wide range of exercises.
It’s different from mat Pilates because the Reformer adds the element of resistance and supports the body, allowing for more movement variety and targeting muscles in different ways. The machine can be adjusted to suit different fitness levels, and it’s often used to improve posture, increase core strength, and assist in rehabilitation from injuries.
A Reformer Pilates Duo session is conducted on the Reformer machine, where two people (suitable for all above 14 years old) work together in a semi-private setting. It combines the benefits of a traditional Reformer Pilates class with the personal attention of a private session but at a lower cost. Even though there are two participants, the instructor can tailor the exercises to each individual's fitness level and goals, giving more individualized focus than in a larger group class. Occasionally, the duo can work together on exercises requiring mutual assistance or encouragement, adding an extra layer of fun and challenge. This can be motivating, as having a workout buddy might push both participants to work harder and stay accountable.
